Recent Events

Our next awareness event we participate in will be the Auburn Good Ol' Days August 8 & 9.

On the 4th Tuesday in February we will be showing a video. It is 80 minutes in length so we will extend the meeting to 9:30 and still start at 7:00 to allow a brief "regular meeting" and some discussion time after the video presentation.

It's called "Motherland" and it's about 6 women that came together to share their stories and grief due to the loss of a child.  One of the women lost her child to suicide.  With grief in their hearts and the desire to make a difference, this group of women traveled half way around the world to Africa to work as volunteers in order to test the theory that "Giving can be Healing."  Through the relationships and friendships that form between this unlikely group of travelers, we are reminded of the resilience and triumph of the human spirit.  The film ultimately celebrates these mothers' ability to survive, heal and to live again.
